Jens Bangsbo

Jens is a UEFA pro-license coach (2014) and UEFA, AFC and FIFA instructor.

In 1999-2001 he was collaborator with Carlo Ancelotti at Juventus FC. Between 2001 and 2004 he was Assistant Coach of the successful first team of Juventus FC, winning two Italian Championships, two Super-cups and in 2003, the team was in the Champions League final. During this time, he was training players like Zinedine Zidane, Gigi Buffon, Alexandro Del Piero and Pavel Nedved (winning the golden ball in 2003).

He was technical/tactical consultant for head coach Lorenzo Serra Ferrer of the 2007/2008 successful Champions League team AEK Athens. He has been Assistant Coach of the Danish National Team and was part of the coaching staff for EURO2004, World Cup 2010 and EURO2012. He has extensive experience from Chelsea FC and Manchester United, where a number of his students have worked.

He was, in the fall 2017, assistant coach for head coach Leonardo in the Turkish Super League club Antalyaspor. However, political instability and economic insecurity at the club ended the engagement.

He has played more than 350 matches in the Danish Premier League and in the Danish National Team both as youth and senior player, and has extensive experience in playing at the international level. He has written more than 15 books about football of which three deals with the tactical aspect “Soccer Systems and Strategies”, “Offensive Soccer Tactics” and “Defensive Soccer Tactics”, each sold in more than 10000 copies. In addition, ten books about fitness training specific to demands in the game of football. The latest “Individual Training in Soccer” published in 2016.

He also developed the Boot Camp, Speed and Ignite programs for Nike with specific programs for players like Andres Iniesta (See it here!), Carlos Tevez (See it here!), Nani (See it here!), Ronaldinho (See it here!) and Cesc Fabregas (See it here!). He has developed the Creative Speed test for Cristiano Ronaldo (See it here!). He is the inventor of the Yo-Yo tests, which are the most used tests in soccer. He has also developed a number of video-programs within agility, speed and aerobic training (www.insidesoccer.com).

He is a professor at the internationally renowned Institute of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports at the University of Copenhagen and is a researcher and specialist in training physiology and testing. He has authored more than 300 scientific articles and is a member of the international steering group on “Football and Science”.

His ability to translate scientific knowledge into practice is widely respected all over the world.

Casper Skovgaard

Casper was recently working as Head of Strength and Conditioning in Antalyaspor, Turkey, as part of the Technical Staff managed by Leonardo (former Inter and Milan Manager and PSG Director of Football) and assisted by Jens Bangsbo (former Juventus Assistant Coach), Angelo Castellazzi (former Inter and PSG Assistant Coach) and Serginho (former Milan player). Samuel Eto’o, Samir Nasri, Jeremy Menez, William Vainqueur, Johan Djourou and Sandro were among the players.

He was Head of Strength and Conditioning for the successful youth sector at FC Nordsjælland for 3 years and he has been working as Strength and Conditioning Coach and Assistant Coach for 1st and 2nd Division clubs in Denmark.

He completed his PhD degree in Human Physiology in collaboration with Team Danmark, the Danish elite sports organization, and University of Copenhagen, Denmark. During the 3-year PhD study, he also worked as a Team Danmark Sport Physiologist for world-class badminton, ice-hockey and handball players as well as world-class rowers and kayakers.

Casper has played at the highest youth-level in Denmark.
