The seminar “Fitness training in Elite Football - Individual Development” is related to past and present success of the work by Jens Bangsbo at Juventus FC & Atalanta B.C. in Serie A.

Combining scientific knowledge and best-practice, the content of the seminar will focus on topics such as individual analysis, testing and intense training as well as the use of data for individual development. There will also be plenty of opportunities to discuss other areas of interest during the days, or during breakfast, lunch, or dinner, which is all included.
During the seminar, which is developed in collaboration with fitness coaches from some of the most prestigious clubs in the world such as Paris Saint Germain, Liverpool FC, Juventus FC, Internazionale FC and FC Barcelona, we will bridge theory and practice and offer concrete procedures, exercises and tools to develop each player in the team optimally.

Day 1: The course starts with an introduction to individual analysis. Then the coaches head to the football pitch for the first practical session – a 2x 30 min game. Followed by a theoretical session on individual analysis from the game and a presentation on testing principles. The coaches then go to the training ground for the second practical session – testing. Together with a great dinner, a summary and reflection session takes place at the end of day 1.

Day 2: The second day starts with evaluation of testing results from yesterday alongside a theoretical session on training principles. A third practical session focusing on aerobic training takes place before lunch, whereafter the participants have a theoretical session on data analysis. This is followed by a fourth practical session focusing on speed endurance training. To finish the day, there will be a team building soccer game and a big dinner.

Day 3: During the final day, the coaches participate in a theoretical session on data from testing and training. This is followed by a fifth practical session focusing on individual training. Lunch is followed by the evaluation of training including training load measures. Lastly, planning individual training during the week (theory) and individual feedback takes place.

Antalya is a Turkish resort city with a yacht-filled Old Harbor and beaches flanked by large hotels. It’s a gateway to Turkey’s southern Mediterranean region, known as the Turquoise Coast for its blue waters. Remnants remain from Antalya’s time as a major Roman port. These include Hadrian’s Gate, built to honor the Roman emperor’s visit in 130 A.D and 2nd-century Hidirlik Tower, with harbor views.
